Ever since my husband and I received the Nutribullet as a wedding gift from my goodest best friend (you know who you are 😉 ) I have been making concoctions of smoothies galore!
I was able to pick up some kiwis for an awesome price at Aldi (love that place by the way) and since it is mango season here in Florida I whipped up this yummy and nutritious blend.
Gimme Kiwi Smoothie
- 1 cup of kale
- 2 kiwis peeled and sliced
- ½ cup diced pineapple
- ½ cup diced mangoes
Blend in Nutribullet tall cup with water at max line or your powerful blender of choice with about 12 ounces of water.
*The pineapple and mango I used were pre-sliced and refrigerated which resulted in a cold drink. You may add a handful of ice in the mix to make it colder.
Kiwis and kale are dubbed as super foods due to their high vitamin A and C content. In fact, all the ingredients in this smoothie are packed with vitamin C, which is known to fight against cardiovascular disease and cancer; promote eye and skin health; and protect against immune system deficiencies.
Kiwis, mangos, and pineapples also contain enzymes that aid with soothing a sore stomach and aid in digestion.
So make yourself a tall glass and enjoy!
