Move It Monday | Fast and Furious

A professional runner preparing for the start on the start line running jogging

There are times when taking even just 30 minutes out of our day to exercise seems impossible to fit in!

As I was preparing to take my long awaited trip to Colombia, I had very little time to squeeze in a workout. I really was only able to spare 10-15 minutes of exercise daily to then shower and get back to business.

I know I am not the only one who experiences times of “no time” so I wanted to share the workouts that I squeeze in to a very hectic day.

Something is better than nothing so move out the way and make room for these great, quick workouts!

Day 1

I was feeling energized today and wanted to do an intense full body workout that included weights and found the perfect video:

I am glad the workout was only 10 minutes because…WOW! You really work it.

Day 2

I decided to focus on my upper body today and I turned to the Tone It Up girls! They are stunning and have really amazing, short workouts and this one delivered:

I used 8 pound weights and I could feel the burn!

Day 3

Due to the burn from the day before, I decided to go for a lower body workout today.

The added jumps between some of the exercises got the heart rate up and a bit of a sweat going.

Day 4

Grace from Graceful Points suggested videos from Ballet Beautiful for quick and effective workouts.

I decided to try their abdominal workout and it is incredible the burn that you feel with such seemingly simple moves:

The exercises above can easily be done within 15 minutes, including a short warm-up and cool-down which are a must!

Ideally, we should be spending more time exercising, but realistically life is unpredictable and it can limit the little time we do have. Let us be the ultimate managers of our time and squeeze in a little movement towards our health!

The only bad workout is the one you didn't do

Much Love,

Nena

  1. Actually, this is exactly the kind of thing I need to do. I don’t belong to a gym and when it comes to exercise, I don’t really do much (er, anything). Little mini workouts that I can fit somewhere into my day are a very good idea.

  5. Thanks for the post! I never think to look on youtube for workouts. I am usually trying to squeeze 15-30 minutes in at crazy times of the day and my DVD are getting monotonous so I will definitely be trying some of these!

    • It is amazing what you find on YouTube! I get bored with the same workouts, too, so YouTube has saved the day with their variety. Glad they could help you?

  6. This will be me next week when I am at the clinic till the late night. I hope to get in at least 15 minutes! The videos look interesting, thank you for sharing :*

    • Walking is truly the best and easiest form of exercise! Getting fresh air is so important, too, so you go for making the effort to do it often?
Thank you for the tag! Your tags are so fun so I will check it out soon and I look forward to taking part in it?

  7. I am most definitely guilty of not finding enough time to exercise regularly because I prefer to workout at the gym…but I’ve got to let go of that mentality and do more exercising at home when I’m unable to go to the gym.

    • It is an adjustment, especially if home is where we refuge. But thankfully videos like these make it easy to squeeze in some exercise?

  9. When we acknowledge what the classical composers (such as Beethoven) created in their often short life time, we must also acknowledge that it all comes down to time management and priorities. It is difficult finding time for something we really don’t want to do, so we must determine what is really important to us (and stop kidding ourselves!) In your example – well done! 🙂

    • Thank you, Colin (and Ray?) You’re right on point and what a great connection to successful individuals! It does take just a little bit of discomfort on our end sometimes to reach a desired outcome.
