November flew by with a blink of an eye and here we are in December and I have yet to reveal the contents of my Birchbox from last month.
As usual, I will start with my final review from October’s Positive Force Box.
The Verdict on the Positive Force Box:
- Acure Organics | Cell Stimulating Facial Mask
The mask was gentle on my skin and it left it feeling hydrated and very soft. This one is a keeper!
- Avene | Thermal Spring WaterThis is a product that is already part of my skincare routine and I would recommend it and continue repurchasing it.
- Benefit Cosmetics | They’re Real! Mascara
I am still using the sample to this mascara and I love it! Truly gives my eyelashes length and thickness. Will definitely buy this again!
- EXO Supply Co. | PureRemover Wipes – Lavendar
The wipes were too messy, but I like the idea of a nail polish remover made with natural ingredients so I will purchase the bottle instead.
- Oribe | Dry-Texturizing Spray
Loved this spray for bringing lift to a hairstyle and it smells great! It works wonderfully as a dry shampoo as well so I may be repurchasing this in the future.
Now for the belated reveal of the November Birchbox…
Theme: Preparing for the Holidays
The Birchbox team is well aware of the many festivities that take place during this time of the year and they put together products this month to indulge in a little extra “pampering and polishing”.
- amika | Nourishing Mask
This is a paraben-free hair mask meant for conditioning and repairing hair and it is also safe for color-treated locks. I tried the mask without conditioner to test its hydrating capabilities and unfortunately my hair ended up dry and dull. I also tried it together with conditioner and I did not notice a difference. I will continue to use it to see if it has any long-term effects.
- Cartier | Baiser Vole Eau de Parfum
The perfume is described as “a romantic floral scent with notes of fresh, powdery lily”. The scent is nice, but it does not last as long. My husband also does not seem to like it as much as the other perfumes I have so it might not be a repurchase.
- MAKE | Skin Illuminator
At first glance, the illuminator appeared too glittery for my taste. But when I tried it as a highlighter I fell in love! The skin illuminator does leave “the perfect amount of sheer, pearlescent glimmer” as described and it claims to be a skin-correcting base so I will be trying it as that soon.
- Temple Spa | La La Lagoon Aromatic Bath & Shower Gel
The shower and bath gel is infused with peppermint, basil, and mint and the aroma engulfs the atmosphere when used. I tried it in a bath and it was very relaxing. As a shower gel it is also nice, but not any different from other shower gels.
- Zoey Van Jones | Tinted Brow Gel – Brunette
The brow gel not only tints your eyebrows, it also conditions them with its biotin-infused formula. The color is perfect for me and I have been using it more often now that my eyebrows look too light for my new hair color.
November’s Birchbox truly did put me in the mood to give myself a little extra pampering and polishing 🙂
How will you indulge in a little “me time”?
