Birchbox | Spring Awakening

Birchbox 2016 April

The Birchbox cover design for April is one the most beautiful of all the boxes thus far and I couldn’t wait to see what was inside!

The March Birchbox had some really great products I still continue to use and here are my final thoughts:

1. Cargo | Land Down Under Eye Shadow Palette

Gorgeous natural eye color palette I will be reaching for more often.

2. Cynthia Rowley Beauty | Brightening Illuminator

I have tried other highlighters and this one is my favorite! Very natural with no shimmer, just a natural glow.

3. NEST | Dahlia & Vines

I fell in love with this fragrance and I will be purchasing a full size soon.

4. PARLOR® by Jeff Chastain | Moisturizing Sea Salt Spray

Never used a sea salt spray before for fear of it making my hair stiff. But this one smells great and leaves hair soft and touchable.

5. Shiseido | Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate

I feel like this concentrate helped to repair my stressed skin and reduced redness while hydrating it and giving it a nice healthy glow.

6. Shiseido | Ultimune Power Infusing Eye Concentrate

Just like the concentrate for the skin, this is a great eye cream and have been using it in place of my regular eye cream.

All of March’s products are keepers so let’s check out what April has in store!

Theme: Spring Awakening

“This month, we’ll be telling you all about natural beauty and giving you exciting ways to explore ingredient-conscious products.”

Products:

1. Beauty Protector | Protect & Detangle

Birchbox 2016 Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle

The same brand as the amazing hair oil I have been loving and using lately which makes it the perfect supplement to my hair routine. Works just as great as the Number 4 hair detangler without the chemical smell; this one smells very good!

2. Burt’s Bees | Tinted Lip Balm in Sweet Violet

Birchbox 2016 Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm

Been using it daily and I used it for a recent photo shoot with the hubby for a more natural look on the lips.

Check out more pics and behind the scenes in Instagram by following @Legaphoto and @onekindtv.

3. rms beauty™| The Ultimate Makeup Remover Wipes

Birchbox 2016 rms beauty makeup remover wipes

Makeup remover wipes where the only ingredient is pure, naturally antibacterial coconut oil. Used it after the photo shoot above and it removed all my makeup like a charm.

4. Vasanti | BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator

Birchbox 2016 Vasanti Facial Scrub

I received this as part of a giveaway I won from my dear bluddy over at Everything and Nothin’ and it is such an amazing and gentle face scrub. It “mimics the effects of microdermabrasion for glowing, smooth skin.” I have sensitive skin and it left my skin soft and bright without any irritation.

5. W3LL PEOPLE | Expressionist Mascara

Birchbox 2016 W3LL People Mascara

A natural mascara without chemicals or dyes and it works great! I have used it several times so far and lengthens lashes and looks incredibly natural.

Embracing and celebrating our unique and natural beauty is what I am all about so April’s Birchbox products are a perfect fit for me thus far!

  1. Although I do not use these type of products, I think exposure to them is important to create awareness about skin health. This is a area I have been oblivious to and will reconsider not as an act of vanity, but in keeping with my belief in a balanced healthy lifestyle. Thank you for exposing me to a deficiency I never gave much thought to.

    • You and me both:) I’ve never been big on makeup, but I have realized skincare is very important and, as you mentioned, a big part of a balanced, healthy lifestyle.
What has been fun with makeup lately is seeing the artistic aspect of it that I never paid much attention to before. It has been a fun and fascinating discovery.
