Move It Monday | Boot Camp

Army, Military Boots memorial day move it monday younfolded blog boot camp exercises

Today in the States is a day where we commemorate the soldiers of our past, present, and future that have served, currently serve, and will serve our country wholeheartedly in the armed forces.

Many have the day off and family trips and BBQs are the norm, but let’s never forget the real reason Memorial Day is an official federal holiday.

In honor of our troops, I put together some boot camp exercises to remind us of the freedom we have to move in the direction we desire because of the sacrifice of many dedicated soldiers.

Day 1

If you are a beginner, the following workout is ideal:

Day 2

For a more advanced and incredibly serious workout, try this one:

Day 3

If you are traveling, here is a workout that can be done anywhere and will have you sweating in no time:

Day 4

I am a huge fan of short and quick workouts because they are easier to fit into a busy schedule. Here is a perfect one:

Let’s march on over to the Move It Monday party! Here is how you can join the fun:

  1. You have craftily gotten into workouts by remembering our soldiers (specifically, our freedom through their sacrifice) 🙂

Hope you had a great long-weekend.

    • Nena, it’s so cool and thoughtful that you honoured Memorial Day with boot camp exercises! I’m definitely in the beginner category but always keen for a challenge! PS I did the dance video and lasted for about 8 minutes but still, nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?

      • Thanks, Gen, and you are killing it! To have lasted 8 minutes on that intense dance video is insane! There’s no shame in being a beginner;) We all start there and you are still way ahead many others!

        • That irritating moment when you type a long-ass message in your head but hit ‘post comment’ before you’re done. Anyway, thank you SO MUCH for featuring my recipe, Nena, I am so appreciative and loving your Move It Monday. Yeah, 8 minutes felt like hourrrrs! But you are so right – we all have to start somewhere. Also, it’s really nice to mix the yoga workouts with a different cardio workout. Even if I couldn’t breathe afterwards!

          • lol happens a lot to me:p You are more than welcome!! Your recipes are always so delicious and just had to share! Keep moving it, Gen;)

    • Thank you! I find so many workouts on Pinterest and I frequently turn to them when I want to exercise while the hubby and I watch TV;)
