We have reached the end of a school year and the celebrations have begun!
Some are moving towards a higher education, while others are traveling or embarking on their career. But most are excited to close a chapter in their education and just get the summer party started!
I have been hearing about tons of graduation ceremonies and celebrations and it brings back memories of how amazing it felt to finish school and move on to the bigger and better.
As a former professional student, as I was so often called, I know firsthand the hard work and the many sacrifices it takes to reach graduation day.
There are many birthdays, baby showers, and other special days with loved ones that are missed as a result of having to be in class, studying, or working on a major paper or project. Not to mention having to balance time for work as well to help pay for school in the first place.
We all know that life is not a smooth paved road and we often face many bumps and holes that cause us to either swerve uncontrollably or wreck completely. All of these things make finishing school even harder.
A graduate is someone who has slain and conquered despite the many obstacles they were faced with. They are the kings and queens of our day in age that will go on to rule the world! (in some form 😉 )
I want to take this moment to congratulate all the recent graduates by saying,
YOU ARE ROCKIN’ IT!!
You all make Game of Thrones look like it’s for babies! (It’s not really, please don’t let your babies watch it). Keep fighting the good fight towards all your dreams and goals!
A special shout out goes out to the graduates in my life whose ceremonies I had the pleasure of taking part in last year:
My sister and my brother-in-law!
I cried like a baby at both ceremonies because I was so proud to see them both shine after all the grime they had to go through to reach the finish line.
“You’re off to great places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so…get on your way!
– Dr. Seuss
Make sure to give a huge congratulations to the graduates (kings and queens) in your life!
