So much has been going on lately behind the scenes and I wanted to provide a quick life update.
I have been staying true to my stillness mantra for this year and I have a newfound peace in aspects of my life that I did not realize were chaotic.
I have slowed down my mornings by starting them out with prayer, meditation, and reading. As a result, I see every day as an opportunity to grow and I am able to take on adversity with more positivity, strength, and calmness.
I mentioned previously that I was going to work on changing the look of the blog and I have already made several changes. A major thing that will change is that I am planning to use YOUnfolded as the start of my own online business.
My intention for starting YOUnfolded was to be able to make a living out of the things I love most; writing, reading, and exchanging creative and inspiring ideas with kindred spirits. At first, I was not sure how I was going to transition from a hobby to a business, but after 2 wonderful years of blogging I have been able to obtain a better focus and I have all of you to thank for that.
Your continuous support and encouragement motivated me to go after my bliss despite my fear of leaving my comfort zone. Eventually, I will share more about the details of what the business will entail as I am still working on the strategy to reach the big dream.
The blog will continue with the same topics with an added focus on the every woman (cue Whitney Houston’s song) LOL. The posts will be filled with self-care, self-compassion, body positivity, and anything that will make fellow women feel empowered and beautiful inside and out!

For the month of April, I decided to take a plan of action instead of consumption. I have been absorbing tons of information on starting a business from various sources, but it has left me at a stand still and I plan to move forward with what I have now. My work behind YOUnfolded will mean a possible decrease in the quantity of the posts, but never in the quality.
Another is that I will be using my first name (Yentl) instead of my nickname (Nena) from now on. It is not just for business purposes, but it is also because I love my name and its meaning embodies what I want to represent on YOUnfolded. Yentl means “kind” and my goal is to promote self-kindness and kindness towards others.
To be honest, I started YOUnfolded with my nickname because it was my first time on social media and online networking and by using a name my close friends and family use for me I felt a little bit more comfortable with the exposure.
Now that I have grown more confident with socializing online I am free to continue unfolding who I am as Yentl ☺ You may still address me as Nena if you are more comfortable doing so (I don’t mind at all), but starting in April I will be signing off as Yentl on each post and on my social media channels. In the meantime, I am writing “Yentl AKA Nena” to ease into the transition for everyone and reduce any confusion.
Lastly, I plan to start writing personalized emails to my subscribed readers as a more intimate way to keep in touch with everyone and provide extra content that may not appear on the blog itself. If you are a WordPress follower you will continue to receive emails of when a new post is up and if you want to also get the personal emails with extras sign up with your email below and click Inspire Me.
Speaking of getting personal, my husband and I signed a contract to the purchase of our first home!! It is a preconstruction home and it is estimated to be completed before the end of the year! We are nervous due to the long process and all the paperwork, but we are also excited and humbled by the opportunity of moving into our dream home!
Enough about me. Tell me about you.
How is your year going so far? Let’s keep making it great!
